During my second year of university, I developed a project centered on a product that established a personal connection to history. Being born in 1995, I researched the major cultural milestones of that year and chose to deconstruct the O.J. Simpson trial, exploring its complexities through an extensive study of documentaries, series, and literature. To bring this historical moment to life, I designed a multi-layered newspaper experience that allowed readers to engage with the case through a medium that would have been significant at the time. The main publication featured the formal courtroom transcripts, while an inserted mini-supplement highlighted the trial's pivotal moments. To bridge the gap between print and digital, I integrated QR codes that enabled readers to listen to the original audio recordings of the proceedings. By combining tactile design with immersive technology, I created a piece that allowed for a deep, sensory exploration of the 1990s' most influential media event.
